Peter Greenaway will receive Maître du Réel Award

 

This year, in homage to his entire career, Peter Greenaway will receive the Sesterce d’or Raiffeisen Maître du Réel Award in person at Visions du Réel.

“This year, in director Peter Greenaway, we honour a real explorer of cinematic codes and his works which are profuse in extremely stylised aesthetics”  Luciano Barisone, Director of Visions du Réel.

Cette année, en hommage à l’ensemble de sa carrière, le réalisateur britannique Peter Greenaway recevra en personne le Sesterce d’or Prix Raiffeisen Maître du Réel à Visions du Réel.

Ten years after the succes of the opera Writing to Vermeer, directed by Saskia Boddeke,we are delighted to announce that Saskia Boddeke en Peter Greenaway have been invited to direct the Opera: Giovanna d’Arco by Verdi. The opera will be played at the extraordinary Teatro Farnese at Parma as part of the Verdi Festival- October 2016.
